Every day

I believe very much that it is the moments we connect with loved ones, and the memories of childhood that we will cherish most in years to come.  A Documentary/ photojournalism approach to capturing the everydayness of our lives, creates artwork out of the moments that would usually pass us by and pays tribute the remarkable moments we don’t always recognise at the time. Ordinarily family photography involves dressing up, and going to a pretty setting to capture images that will remind us of the day we dressed up to smile for the photographer. With a documentary approach, the images will catapult you back into the moments of your daily family life, evoking feelings and stirring memories of the joys and struggles of parenting and childhood. The process may sound foreign, but the final images will enlighten you to the extraordinariness of your ordinary day.  The ‘day in the life’ leaflet explains more about the process of capturing these memories for your family Here (link to come!)

Big days

Some 'days in the life' happen to be monumentally life changing big days. It is an absolute privilege to be trusted to share such occasions with people who often end up as friends.  If you are interested in having me photograph your wedding, or other big life moments in a documentary style get in touch

About Lee

I have traveled a few different career paths over the years, on four different continents and the recipient of my CV who described it as a ‘colourful and entertaining read’ would probably have had a point! However photography has survived all the chapters, from wildlife calendar images plastering my walls as a child, to convincing my art teacher to let me skip class to work with the local photographer, and studying photography more formally later on.The use of light to freeze moments has always been a passion. I have a genuine love of people and their stories from all walks of life and perhaps Muriel Rukeyser had a point when she declared ‘The universe is made up of stories, not of atoms’. Photography is very much a part of my story, and I look forward to capturing your stories in a documentary style.
